Utility Trailer Sales of Oregon celebrates 40 years as Local Oregon Utility Dealer
Utility Trailer Sales of Oregon moved to its current location in Clackamas, Oregon in 1989. At that time, the shop was modern and equipped to work on all classes of trailers. Of course back then, trailers were not 53’ long, so the company has evolved as the industry has advanced.
After Paul’s passing in 1992, Pat continued the legacy of the family business by taking over as owner and has continued actively growing the company into what it is today. In 2010, Pat’s daughter Elizabeth joined the company, cross training in all departments to better understand all aspects of operations. Elizabeth’s husband Geiner joined the company in 2013, even further establishing the family commitment to the continuation and growth into the future.
Pat purchased land in Redmond, Oregon in 2012 with the intention of expanding the Utility Trailer Oregon franchise into Central Oregon. Utility Trailer Sales of Central Oregon was established and a new dealership location was constructed between 2014 – 2015. The new location was opened in 2015, and is now celebrating 10 years in business in Central Oregon. This family legacy and commitment to this business in the semi-trailer industry is unmatched. While the market is changing and competition is evolving, Utility Trailer Sales – Oregon continues to steadfastly serve core customers, including grocery hauls, general freight, owner operators and a wide variety of fleets.
There is only one Utility Trailer dealer in Oregon with the history and decades of knowledge to best service the local and national market. Despite the consolidation and corporatization of this industry, Utility Trailer Sales of Oregon still believes in loyalty and service to this market and intends to be here for generations to come.
Utility Trailer Sales of Oregon originally became the family-owned Oregon licensed dealer for Utility brand trailers in 1985. We moved into our current Clackamas, Oregon location in 1989, where we have continued to grow over the past 30+ years. Utility Trailer Sales of Oregon is a full-service dealership, offering sales of new Utility trailers and used semi-trailers of all makes and models, as well as a diverse offering of aftermarket parts and a complete service department.
Utility Trailer – Oregon expanded by building a new location in Redmond, Oregon to better service the Central and Eastern Oregon markets. Utility Trailer Sales of Central Oregon opened in July of 2015. While Redmond offers the same great products and service as Clackamas, we diversified the shop to include a 65’ down-draft paint booth to service the diverse commercial paint and body repair needs of the area.
Our parts departments in both location proudly stock a variety of inventory, from braking components, ABS valves, electrical components, lighting, cargo control, body/structural parts, liftgate related parts, trailer flooring, doors (swing and roll-up), suspension parts (bushings, bearings, seals, s-cams, cam repair kits, etc), airbags, shocks and accessories.
Our service departments have a broad wealth of knowledge and decades of combined experienced with certified journeyman level trailer technicians. We perform all levels of repairs from pre-delivery and DOT inspections, routine preventative maintenance, major and minor structural repairs, reefer trailer body/collision repairs, floor repairs/replacement, complete suspension and braking repairs, ABS diagnostics, liftgate repairs, door repairs and replacements, interior liner repairs from delamination, wearband installation, major and minor fabrication, electrical repairs, roof repairs/replacements and kingpin replacements. The Clackamas location offers mobile trailer repairs in the greater Portland area.
Our sales department proudly offers new Utility Trailer Reefers (3000R), Dry Vans (4000DX), and Flatbeds (4000AE) to a diverse customer base across the country.
